Vasupati Jewellers

Vasupati Jewellers is a small shop located at number 4 in the Pankaj Shopping Centre. We are right by the Vakola Bridge in Santacruz East, so a lot of people pass by us every day. It’s a neighborhood spot where people come in to get things repaired or to look at a few pieces of gold. The shop has these glass counters that we spend a lot of time cleaning because of all the fingerprints. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the people who live in the surrounding buildings. It’s a quiet place compared to the main road outside. We have a small safe in the back and a workbench where some of the finer work gets done. It’s mostly just a few of us working here. The lights are bright so people can see the details on the jewelry. We don’t have a big fancy showroom, just this honest little space. Sometimes customers come in just to chat for a bit while they wait for a ring to be cleaned. In the evenings, the area around the bridge gets really busy with people coming home from work. We usually stay open until about eight or so. It’s a simple business, built on just being here day after day and helping out the locals with whatever they need for their jewelry.
