Varmas Tailors Cloth Stores is a shop we have over at Guru Chhaya H.S. on Subhash Road in Vile Parle East. We’re also connected to the 4th Cross and 3rd Stage area near Mathikere, which can be a bit confusing if you’re looking at a map, but locals know the way. We’ve got our tailoring setup and all the cloth rolls kept here in the store. It’s a traditional kind of shop where we take measurements and help people pick out fabrics. The space is often filled with bits of thread and fabric scraps because we are always busy sewing something or another. Subhash Road is a good spot to be in Vile Parle, though it can get pretty crowded during the festive seasons when everyone wants new clothes. Our shop isn't one of those high-end boutiques; it’s a regular place where people come for reliable tailoring. We’ve been at Guru Chhaya for many years now, and we have regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. It’s just a few of us working the sewing machines and the counters. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays, we just let the work speak for itself. Sometimes the 4th Cross area gets a bit jammed with traffic, but it’s usually easy enough to find us if you know where Mathikere is. We just focus on getting the fit right for whoever walks through the door.
