Vardman International

Vardman International is based at 310, Anand Building, on 82/84, Kazi Sayed Street. This part of the city is incredibly cramped and busy, especially during the middle of the day. Our office is up on the third floor of the Anand Building. It’s not a very big space, and it’s usually packed with samples and various documents. We spend most of our time on the phone or dealing with traders who come by. Kazi Sayed Street is a hub for commercial activity, so there is always a lot of shouting and noise from the porters moving goods on the street below. We don't have a modern lobby or a big sign. You just have to find the right door in the hallway. Our work is mostly about coordinating imports and exports, which means a lot of checking lists and talking to customs people. It’s a lot of sitting at old desks under flickering lights. We’ve been in this building for years, and we know all the neighbors. It’s a tight-knit community of businesses here. Sometimes the elevator in the building doesn't work, so we have to carry everything up the stairs. It’s not the most comfortable way to work, but it’s how things are done here. We don't try to make it sound better than it is. Vardman International is just a small operation running out of a busy street. We focus on the trade and keep moving forward.
