Vandana Novelty

Vandana Novelty is located at 29 Road No.7, right opposite the pipeline in the Rajawadi area. It’s a familiar spot for people living around here. We sell all those small things you didn't know you needed until you saw them. The shop is filled with hair clips, ribbons, small toys, and household knick-knacks. We have stuff hanging from the ceiling and piled on the floor. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. The pipeline is a big landmark, so people always use that to find us. We spend a lot of time dusting the shelves because the road outside gets quite a bit of traffic and dust. It’s a one-man show most of the time, so I’m the one opening the shutters and sweeping the front every morning. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know most of the people who walk by. We don’t have any fancy marketing. We just put some of the colorful items out front to show we are open. The shop has an old wooden counter that’s been here since the start. It’s a simple life, selling little bits and pieces to the neighbors. Sometimes the kids come in after school to look at the stickers or toys. We just keep the doors open and see who stops in.
