Vama Creations is tucked away in Rushabh Apts on Dr. Parekh Street. If you know the Prathna Samaj area, you know how busy those streets get. Our place is number 262, and it’s always got something going on. We do a lot of design and creation work here, so there’s usually pieces of fabric or paper samples scattered around the tables. It’s not the biggest space, but we make it work for us. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, with the narrow hallways and the smell of cooking coming from the other apartments. We’ve been in this spot for quite a few years now. The light comes in nicely through the balcony in the mornings, which helps when we're looking at colors. It can get pretty humid in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running at full speed. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello or ask for directions because the street layout is a bit confusing. We handle everything from here, from the first sketches to the final bits of work. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of materials delivered, but we’re used to it. The staff is local, so most of us just walk or take the bus to get here. It is just a regular group of people doing their work every day.
