Vaishali Pandurang Manjrekar

Vaishali Pandurang Manjrekar is just me and the small space I run here in Nehru Nagar. I’ve lived in this area for years, so setting up at 2/A seemed like the most natural thing to do. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it’s a simple room where I handle my daily tasks. Usually, I’m here by nine after getting through the morning rush. The neighborhood is always noisy with kids playing and people going to the market, but inside, it’s quiet enough to concentrate. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and stay close to home. The walls are a bit plain, maybe I’ll paint them next year if I find the time. Clients usually call ahead, but sometimes people just drop by because they saw the name on the door. I try to keep things organized, though my desk often gets covered in notebooks and pens. There’s a small tea shop just around the corner that makes the best ginger chai, so I go there twice a day. It keeps me going through the afternoon slump. It’s a modest way to earn a living, and I’m quite content with how things are moving along. People around here know me, and that makes the work feel a lot more personal and real for me.
