V M Computers

The shop is at number 15 in Pancharatna Society, right here in Borivali West. It is a small space, mostly filled with monitors, old CPUs, and tangled wires. Most days, we are just sitting here at the desk trying to figure out why someone’s laptop won’t turn on or why a hard drive is making that clicking noise. It is quiet for some hours and then suddenly three people walk in at once with broken screens or slow computers. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. The shelves are a bit disorganized because we have parts from all sorts of different years. Borivali can get really busy, especially near the station side, but our spot in the society is a bit more tucked away. You might see us having tea outside while waiting for a software update to finish. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. If a computer can be fixed, we fix it. If it is too old and not worth the money, we usually just tell the person that straight. There’s no point in sugarcoating it. We’ve been at this for a while now, so we’ve seen how technology changes. From those old heavy monitors to these slim tablets, we have handled a bit of everything. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, making sure people can get back to their work. Sometimes it’s frustrating when a part doesn’t arrive on time, but that’s how it goes.
