V I P House

Our shop is in Maharaja Apartments, right on S V Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how S V Road can be. The traffic is constant, and the sound of horns is just part of the background music for us throughout the day. We are right opposite the Telephone Exchange, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who hasn't been here before. Shardanand Kutir is the landmark we tell people to look for. V I P House is a name that’s been around for a bit. The shop inside the apartments is quite straightforward. We have wide windows, but we usually keep the curtains half-drawn because the afternoon sun is really strong on this side of the street and makes it too hot. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a few chairs for when we need to take a break. We get a lot of people who are just passing through on their way somewhere else. It’s a convenient stop. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine or anything like that, just an old kettle in the corner. We focus on what we have on the floor. Most of the day is spent checking the inventory or talking to delivery drivers who are trying to find parking on the busy road. It’s a bit of a headache sometimes, but it’s our life.
