Unique Trading Co.

Our shop is Shop No. F 2 in the Maker Arket Shipping Center, which is on G D Somani Road. It’s right there in the Cuffe Parade and Colaba area, very close to the World Trade Centre. Being in such a famous part of town is interesting, but our actual shop is very practical and down-to-earth. We are a trading company, so a lot of our time is spent on the phone or dealing with shipments and deliveries. The shipping center can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, but we’ve been here long enough that we could find our way in the dark. We deal with all sorts of goods and merchandise, acting as the middleman for various trades. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly involves a lot of checking lists and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the day. We don't have a big team or a fancy office suite. It’s just us working in a space that is mostly filled with samples and ledgers. We’ve built up a lot of trust with other traders over the years just by being consistent and doing what we say we will. We don’t bother with big advertisements because most of our business comes from long-term relationships and people we’ve known for decades. It’s a steady way to work and we like being right in the middle of all the trade activity in Colaba. It’s a busy life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
