Turf Textiles Exports Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Room No 2/A on the 1st floor of our building in Kalbadevi. Specifically, we are in the Ranipur area, right across from Swagat Hotel. If you have ever been to Kalbadevi, you know it is a hub for all sorts of things, especially textiles. Being on the first floor is nice because we are just far enough above the street to miss some of the dust, but close enough to hear everything going on. The room is not massive; it is mostly filled with fabric samples and stacks of export documents. We spend a lot of our time checking orders and making sure things are packed right. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We are not trying to be a fancy export house. We just want to get the textiles out to where they need to go without any fuss. The hotel across the way is a good spot for a quick lunch when we have a break. Most of us have been working here for years, so we have a rhythm. We do not use any high-tech systems, just some old computers and a lot of notebooks. It is a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. That is just the way things are at Turf Textiles. We keep it simple and stay focused on the day's work for our clients.
