At Threads Technology India, we’ve made our home in Shaniwar Peth, at address 29618 in the Chandewadi area. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history, and our office kind of reflects that. We don’t have those glass walls or modern art you see in new tech hubs. Instead, we have thick walls, old wooden desks, and a lot of wires running along the baseboards. The street outside is narrow, so you can always hear the scooters and the local vendors going about their business. Most of our day is spent staring at screens or fixing some kind of technical glitch that popped up overnight. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. One minute someone is handling an invoice, and the next they are trying to fix a server issue. We don’t really go in for those big meetings that last for hours; we usually just talk across the room. The lighting isn't the best, but we’ve got good coffee and we know how to get the work done. Shaniwar Peth can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it, but we like the energy of the place. It’s a grounded way to work in technology. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to provide a decent service from our little corner of the city. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, but we don't mind the climb. It’s a quiet place to get through the daily tasks.
