We are over at 3 Mahapalika Marg in Dhobi Talao. This building has been our base for a long time, right near the old post box. It is a busy government office where we look after the technical education for the whole of Maharashtra. Every day, people come in with folders of papers and questions about engineering colleges or diplomas. The hallways are usually full of visitors waiting their turn. It is not a modern office with glass walls, but a practical place where the real administrative work happens. We handle the admissions processes and keep track of all the different institutes across the state. It gets quite hectic during the summer months when the new batches of students are applying. The phones ring constantly and there is always a stack of files needing attention on someone's desk. We just focus on getting the paperwork done and making sure the rules are followed. It is a lot of data to manage, but the staff here knows how to handle the pressure. You will see us working through the piles of forms to keep the system moving for everyone. We do not have anything fancy to show off, just the daily routine of managing schools from this spot in Mumbai. It is a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one file at a time.
