Our college is situated in the A-Block of the Thakur Educational Campus in Kandivali East. If you know this part of the city, you know that Thakur Village is a huge residential area with a lot of shops and activity. Our building is right there on Shyamnarayan Thakur Marg. It’s a large campus and we share the general space with a few other departments. Engineering takes up most of the day for the students who come here. You will see them carrying around their laptops and big drawing boards at all hours. The labs are filled with various types of equipment that get used every single day by the different branches. We try to keep the schedules as tight as possible so everyone knows where they need to be. It is a very busy atmosphere, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to beat the bell for the first lecture. The staff rooms are tucked away in the corners, usually filled with stacks of journals and old notes. We have been a part of this specific neighborhood for a long time now. People recognize the name around here. It is a straightforward place to come and study. We have the standard facilities like a library and some common areas where students hang out during their free periods. The sun gets quite hot on the campus during the afternoons, but the classrooms stay okay. It’s just a regular part of life in the Mumbai suburbs. We keep things moving.
