Thakoor Industries

If you head up to the second floor of the Ahmedabad Chamber, you’ll find us tucked away in the back. Thakoor Industries has been operating out of this space for a good bit of time. The lift in this building is a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs unless we’re carrying something heavy. It’s a bit of an old-school environment here. We have desks that have seen better days and filing cabinets that sometimes stick if you don't pull them just right. Our neighbors in the building are mostly other small businesses, so there’s always a bit of noise in the hallway, people coming and going. We keep the windows open when the weather allows, though the street noise can get a bit much during rush hour. It's not a showroom or anything fancy. It’s just a workspace where we manage the industrial side of things. My uncle started this whole thing, and now a few of us keep it running. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets, making sure the parts and orders are where they need to be. There isn't much decor on the walls, maybe a few old calendars and some notes pinned up. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art because that's not why we're here. We just focus on the work at hand and try to stay organized in our own way while making sure the day-to-day operations don't fall behind.
