Thakker Novelty

Thakker Novelty is over at 1 Jaswal Bhavan in Mulund West. It is a pretty quiet spot compared to the main market area. We have been here for a long time now. The shop is filled with all sorts of small things and trinkets that people like to buy. Most of the time, I am just sitting behind the counter waiting for someone to walk in. The building, Jaswal Bhavan, is easy to spot once you are on the right street. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to reach the stuff on the top, so we keep a small wooden stool handy. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but it makes the place feel cozy. We don't really do any big advertising. People in Mulund West just know we are here. Every morning, I sweep the front step and arrange the items on the glass display. It is a lot of small work, keeping everything clean and in its place. We get kids coming in after school and sometimes older folks looking for a specific gift. It is a steady pace, nothing too fast or stressful. We like the neighborhood and the people who live around here. Thakker Novelty is just a simple shop where you can find those little things you didn't know you needed.
