Our place is over at 16, Waman Patil Ind Estate. If you are heading towards Chembur and you see the old Dukes Factory, you’re pretty close. It’s one of those older industrial estates where the roads are a bit narrow and you have to watch out for the lorries turning corners. Teknovision Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this unit for some time now. It’s not a glamorous spot, but it suits what we do just fine. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and workstations. We spend our days looking at electronics and trying to make sense of different technical setups. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the work sitting on the benches. It’s a bit noisy because of the other workshops nearby, but you get used to the hum of the machines and the sounds of the neighborhood. We usually have lunch together at the small table in the back. It’s a simple setup. Most people who visit us are technicians or people picking up equipment. We don’t have a receptionist, so usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come in. It’s steady work and we’ve got a rhythm down that seems to work for everyone here. We don't try to overcomplicate things; we just fix what is broken and ship it.
