Our place is over in Sakinaka, right on the Andheri-Kurla Road. We are inside the Mehra Compound, specifically in the Vijay 1 Building at Unit 34. It’s a busy area, lots of noise from the trucks and cars passing by all day long. We spend most of our time at the workbenches with computers taken apart. There are screws, motherboards, and cables scattered around more often than not. It is not the most organized looking office, but we know where everything is. Being in Sakinaka means we get a lot of dust, so we are constantly cleaning the fans and the vents of the machines that come in. Most of the work is just routine stuff like fixing broken screens or getting software to run right again. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is annoying when you are in the middle of a diagnostic, but that is just part of working in this part of town. We’ve been in this unit for a while now. The building is older, but it serves its purpose for technical work. It’s a short walk from the main gate of the compound. We usually have tea from the stall downstairs around four o'clock. It’s just honest work, keeping laptops and desktops running for the people and businesses nearby. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just some stools and the sound of cooling fans.
