Our shop is tucked away at number 197 in Krishna Chowk. If you’ve ever been to Kalbadevi, you know how packed it gets. We are right across from Zaveri Bazar, so there is always a lot of shouting and bikes honking outside. Being next to the Bangalore Club helps people find us, otherwise, they’d get lost in all the lanes. The building is old and the stairs can be a bit creaky, but it’s where we’ve been for a long time. Every morning starts the same way. We roll up the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the first delivery to arrive. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning and glass doors. We have fans that hum all day and stacks of stuff that we move around to make space. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we just keep going. People often stop by just to ask for directions because they are looking for a specific jeweler nearby. We don't mind. It's part of being in this neighborhood. We don't have any big corporate plans or anything like that. We just focus on getting through the day's tasks and making sure things are done right. It's a busy life here in Mumbai. By the time evening rolls around and the lights in the bazar start flickering on, we are usually just finishing up our paperwork. It’s just us, Tarun Exclusive, doing what we do every single day.
