We are located on the 9th floor of the Everest Building, in unit H-6. If you know Mumbai, you probably know the Sardar Pav Bhaji place nearby—the smell of butter and spices usually drifts up or hits you as soon as you step out of the building. Being on the 9th floor means we get a bit of a view, but mostly we are looking at other tall buildings and the hazy sky. The Everest Building is a busy place with a lot of different offices, so the elevators are always a bit of a wait. Our office is a mix of old filing cabinets and newer computer gear. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because we’ve accumulated a lot of stuff over the years. We have cables running along the floors and stacks of manuals that we should probably throw away but don't. The staff here has been together for a while, so we have our own way of doing things. It’s not a polished, high-tech lounge. It’s just a place with desks, chairs, and people working hard to keep things running. We drink a lot of coffee and usually have some music playing softly in the background to drown out the city hum. It’s a typical Mumbai office experience—crowded, a bit hot during the summer, but full of activity and people who know their business inside out.
