The R.C.F. Colony in Chembur is a pretty specific kind of place to be based. It’s quiet compared to most of Mumbai, which I actually quite like. My spot is Typev-1/1, and it feels more like a home than a proper business office, which is fine by me. There are a lot of trees around here, so the air feels a little bit better, or maybe I just tell myself that. I’ve been here at Tanyadam for a bit, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. I wake up, walk around the colony for a few minutes, and then sit down to see what needs to be sorted out. The building itself is older, with that sturdy construction you don't see much of anymore. Inside, I’ve got some stacks of books and a computer that’s getting a bit slow, but it still does the job. I don’t really have a lot of visitors coming through, so it’s usually just me and the radio playing in the background. If I need something, the local market isn't too far, though I usually forget half of what I went for. It’s a very laid-back environment, maybe even a little too slow for some people, but it suits how I like to operate. I don't really bother with making things look perfect for anyone else. It's just a place to get work done.
