Tanvee Al Pack Industries is located at 10, Paras Indl. Estate in the Kachpada area of Malad West. It’s a busy industrial zone and finding a spot for a scooter can be tough in the afternoons. We work with aluminum packaging, hence the name. Inside our unit, you’ll find stacks of foil and thin metal sheets waiting to be processed. It’s a bright place because the metal reflects the overhead lights. We have a few big machines that do the cutting and folding. They’ve been around for a while and they need a bit of grease and attention every now and then to keep them from jamming up. The guys on the shop floor have a rhythm going. They’ve done this for so long they can do it with their eyes closed, though I tell them not to. We don't bother with any big marketing stuff. Usually, a customer calls us because they heard about us from someone else in Malad or Goregaon. We just write down the orders in a big ledger and get to work. It gets really hot in here during May, so we try to start our shifts earlier to beat the heat. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably find me at my desk in the corner with a stack of papers and a half-finished cup of tea. We just do our bit and keep things moving. That is all.
