Tanisha Plastics

Tanisha Plastics operates out of unit 4/13 in the Ashirwad Industrial Estate. We are situated in Goregaon West, which is a pretty busy hub for small factories and workshops. The industrial estate is always full of trucks loading and unloading stuff, so it can be a bit of a maze to get through sometimes. Inside our unit, it's mostly the sound of machines and the smell of raw plastic being processed. We make all sorts of plastic items that people use every day without thinking twice about them. It’s heavy work and the floor is usually covered in some sort of scrap that we have to sweep up later. We’ve been here in Goregaon for quite a few years now. The workers here are mostly locals who have been with us for a long time. We aren't a giant company with a glass building. We are just a workshop in an industrial estate where we put in our hours and try to keep the machines running without any breakdowns. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around waiting for it to come back on, which is just part of life here. It’s a bit loud and oily, but it’s what we do. We just focus on making things right and getting the orders out to the people who need them. It is honest work and we are proud of what we manage to produce every day.
