Suraj Arts

Our place, Suraj Arts, is on the first floor of Apsara Mansion. We are right at 19-A, which is easy to find since we are sitting right next to the Maharashtra Bank. Being in the Mumbai Central area means it is always lively. There is a lot of movement outside with people heading to the station or visiting the bank. Our office is up one flight of stairs, and it’s a fairly modest space. We have been here for years, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Inside, it’s mostly just workbenches and materials spread out. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything. If someone comes by, they just walk right in. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but that’s just how it goes in Mumbai. We spend most of our hours here just making sure things are done correctly. The staff is small, and we all know each other’s families by now. It’s the kind of environment where we drink a lot of chai and talk about the weather while we work. We don’t really worry about making everything look perfect. As long as we can get our work done and keep the lights on, we are happy enough. It is a practical way to run things, and it has worked for us so far. We just take each day as it comes.
