At Suprem Computer Solutions, we are tucked away at 13 waghela bhavan. Being near anupam theatre in goregaon east means there is always something going on outside. The shop is small and usually filled with towers, laptops, and tangles of wires. We spend most of our time looking at screens or taking apart hardware to see why it stopped working. It isn't a high-end tech boutique. It is more of a workbench where things actually get fixed. People bring in computers that are five years old and hope we can make them fast again. We do what we can. Sometimes it is just a virus, other times the whole thing is fried. We tell people the truth about whether it is worth fixing or not. There are parts scattered on the shelves and we might take a minute to find the right screw. We don't wear uniforms and we don't have a script for how we talk to customers. If you come in, you just talk to whoever is free. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the fan doesn't always reach the back corner. We have a lot of regular people from the neighborhood who trust us because we’ve been here for a bit. We just keep our heads down and work on the machines. It’s a decent living and we like the challenge of a difficult repair now and then.
