Suparna Roy

I’m located over at 601 Rushabh Tower in Sewri. My name is Suparna Roy and this is where I spend most of my days. Jakaria Bunder Cross Road is a place with a lot of history and it’s right in the middle of everything in Mumbai. My office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s got piles of papers and a coffee mug that’s probably seen better days. I started this because I wanted to do things my own way without someone looking over my shoulder all the time. Being in Maharashtra, you get used to the fast pace, but I try to keep things a bit more grounded here. I don’t have a fancy mission statement or a list of core values on the wall. I just try to treat people right and do my work without making a fuss. Sometimes the elevators in the tower are slow and the traffic outside is a nightmare, but that’s just part of life here. I like that I can see a bit of the city from my window. It reminds me that there are thousands of other people doing exactly what I’m doing—just trying to make things work. I’m not a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just me and a few people who help out when it gets really busy. We aren't perfect, but we try hard and we don't pretend to be something we aren't. It is just real work.
