Sundeep Ceramics

Sundeep Ceramics is located at 342 in the Gheekanta Dhan Building in Andheri West. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of tiles and ceramic slabs. It’s a heavy business, honestly. My back usually aches by the end of the shift from moving samples around for people to look at. The Dhan Building is an older structure, and our space is filled from floor to ceiling with different patterns and colors. People come here when they are renovating their bathrooms or kitchens. They spend a lot of time touching the surfaces and asking about how durable they are. Andheri is a fast-paced area, but choosing tiles takes time, so people often linger in the shop for an hour or more. We have some basic wooden racks to show off the bigger pieces. Sometimes a tile breaks in the crate and we just have to set it aside, which is always a bit frustrating. The floor of the shop is always a bit dusty from the ceramic dust, no matter how much we sweep. We don't have a fancy sales pitch; we just show people what we have in stock and tell them the price. It’s a straightforward trade. We deal with contractors and homeowners mostly. It’s just us and the tiles, day in and day out, making sure people get what they need for their floors. It is hard work but we are used to it.
