Sumitomo Chemical India Private Limited

Our office is located in Churchgate, right on JA Tata Road. We are on the 7th floor of the Moti Mahant building. Being in South Mumbai means we are right in the heart of the old city, which is always busy with people heading to the station or working in the nearby offices. Sumitomo Chemical India Private Limited has been here for a while, and the view from the upper floors is mostly other buildings and the street noise below. It’s a professional enough space, but it’s still an old building with its own quirks, like the slow elevator that everyone complains about. We deal with a lot of administrative work here, coordinating with plants in other parts of the country and talking to international partners. It’s a lot of emails and meetings, but we try to keep things grounded. Even though we are part of a larger name, the office itself feels quite local and familiar. We have people who have worked here for decades, and they’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over time. We don't do much in the way of promotion from this office; it’s mostly just the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the chemical business running. We just focus on our tasks and try to make sure the operations are smooth for everyone else.
