Sujitbiswas

Operating out of Room 125 in Baba Ki Chawl is definitely an experience. Bandra East is a crowded place, and Behramnagar has its own rhythm that never really stops. My name is Sujitbiswas and this is where I handle all my business activities. The room is small, but I’ve organized it so everything I need is within arm’s reach. It gets pretty loud outside with the local traffic and people moving around, but you get used to it after a week or two. I’ve lived and worked in Mumbai long enough to appreciate a roof over my head and a steady stream of work coming in. There’s no air conditioning here, just a sturdy wall fan that keeps the air moving during the humid months. People usually come by the chawl and ask for Room 125, and someone is always around to point them in the right direction. It’s a humble spot, and I don't try to make it look like something it isn't. I spend my hours sitting here, going through documents or talking to people who need help with their requirements. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but that’s not really a priority right now when there is work to be done. It’s a very local way of living and working, right in the thick of the city where everything is happening at once. I just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized. I don't need much more than that.
