Star Computer Education

Over here at Star Computer Education in Aamrai, we keep things pretty straightforward. We've got a handful of computers set up in a room in Aamrai for people who want to learn how to use them. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job for a couple of hours. We deal with all sorts of people, from kids to older folks who just want to know how to send an email. The walls are a bit plain, maybe we should put some posters up one day to make it look nicer. It gets a little warm when all the machines are running at the same time, so we keep the fans going. It's not a big university or some high-tech lab. It’s just a local place where you can sit down and practice. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we all have to wait a bit, but that's just life in Aamrai. We usually have the doors open so some air gets in while the students are working. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure the computers are working and helping out when someone gets stuck on a lesson. It’s a quiet way to spend the day, really. Nothing fancy about it at all, just a room with some screens and people trying to learn. We usually lock up around seven if everyone is finished with their work.
