Standard Inc

Standard Inc is based in Girgaon 3/336, which is an area with a lot of history and old buildings. Despite the name, we aren't some big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s actually just a small office where we handle supplies and different parts for local tradesmen. The room is filled with old wooden shelves and stacks of paper that we haven't quite gotten around to filing properly. We have a heavy iron gate at the entrance that squeaks every time someone comes in. My family has been running things here for two generations, and the furniture hasn't changed much since my uncle's time. We spend a lot of the day on the phone or just waiting for deliveries to arrive through the narrow Girgaon streets. The traffic outside is always a nightmare, so we try to get our big moving done early in the morning. We don't have any fancy slogans or a mission statement. We just show up, drink some tea, and see what needs to be done. Some days are just about cleaning up the dust and reorganizing the stock, while other days are a mad rush to get orders out. It’s a bit unpredictable, but it keeps us busy. We like the neighborhood and the people around here, so we don't see ourselves moving anywhere else. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and it’s been working fine.
