Srimax International

Srimax International is located over on P D'Mello Road in Colaba. We have space across units 207 and 237 in the Gulab building. It’s an old area with a lot of history, and the building itself has seen better days, but it serves our purpose well enough. Being in Colaba means we are close to the docks and the heart of the city's trade. The traffic on P D'Mello Road is almost always heavy, so there is a constant hum of engines and horns outside our windows. Inside, we mostly deal with international trade documents and coordinating shipments. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and talking to people on the phone. The office is pretty basic, just some old wooden furniture and stacks of paper everywhere. We don’t really have a reception area or anything like that. People who need to see us just walk in. The building lift is a bit finicky sometimes, so we often end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other tenants in the building. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs during the afternoon lull. Our work is mostly about logistics and making sure things move across borders without too many hiccups. It’s not very exciting to talk about, but it’s what we do day in and day out from these two rooms in Colaba. It’s just how we get through the week.
