Sreenage

Our workshop is tucked away in Dadar West. You’ll find us near Vijay Moter Body, at number 556 in Sarkhej. It’s a bit of a dusty area but we like it. We’ve been operating out of this space for some time now. The building is old and the walls could use some paint, but it stays cool in the summer. We handle a lot of different things here. Mostly it’s just us working through the piles of tasks. People come in looking for specific parts or help with their vehicles. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything. Just some plastic chairs near the entrance. Sometimes the rain gets in through the front if the wind is high. We just mop it up and keep going. Dadar is always loud and crowded, so we’re used to the noise. If you’re looking for Sreenage, just ask around the corner. Most of the mechanics nearby know where 556 is. We don’t do much advertising. Word gets around mostly. It’s a simple life here. We start when the sun comes up and close when the work is done. Usually, that’s late. My cousin helps out on weekends. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been part of this street for years and we know the rhythms of the place.
