Spoon

Spoon is located over at Nariman Point, specifically in the 1st Stage Cr/2 area. It is a very corporate part of the city, so we see a lot of people in suits and formal wear every day. We kept the name simple because we just wanted a place where people could come and eat without any fuss. The space we have is quite small, so during the lunch hour, it gets very cramped in here. We have to work fast to make sure everyone gets back to their office on time. We start our day early, getting the vegetables chopped and the stoves lit before the sun is even fully up. It is a lot of hard work, and the kitchen gets very humid. We don't have a massive menu with hundreds of items. We just stick to a few things that we can make quickly and consistently. There is no fancy decor on the walls, just a few spots for people to stand or sit for a moment. We have been at this Cr/2 address for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The staff here is just a few local guys who know the routine inside out. We don't do any advertising. People usually just find us because their coworkers told them about the place. It is just a practical spot for a quick meal in a busy district. We keep the counter clean and the food moving as fast as possible.
