Sound Shack

Sound Shack is over at Manu Mahal, specifically Shop No. 1 at 471-C. It’s right across the road from Maheshwari Udyan on Mutunga Road. If you’re in the area, you probably know the park; it’s a big landmark around here. The shop is small, but we pack a lot into it. We deal with audio equipment and sound systems. It’s usually pretty noisy in here because we are always testing out speakers or checking if an amplifier is working like it should. We get all sorts of people coming in, from guys wanting a big setup for their living room to someone just looking for a decent cable. We’ve got wires everywhere and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down. That’s just how it is when you’re working with electronics all day. We’ve been in Mutunga for a while and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. The traffic on Mutunga Road can be pretty loud, but once you step inside and put some music on, you don’t notice it as much. We aren't a big chain store or anything. It's just a few of us who really like good sound. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about their setups at home. We don't use any fancy scripts or sales tactics. We just show people what we have and let the equipment speak for itself. It’s a simple way to run a business, I guess.
