Sneha Novelty

Sneha Novelty is tucked away in Tulshetpada in Bhandup West. Bhandup is a busy, working-class neighborhood, and Tulshetpada has its own unique rhythm. Our shop is what you might call a general novelty store. We carry a bit of everything, from small toys and hair clips to stationery and little gifts for kids. It’s a small shop, and we have lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the families who live on our street. The shop is often full of children coming in after school to see what new things we have on the shelves. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how novelty shops are. We don't have a big corporate plan or anything. We just buy things we think people will like and put them out for sale. Life in Bhandup West can be quite fast, but inside the shop, things are a bit more relaxed. We talk to our neighbors and keep an eye on the street while we work. It’s a modest business, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We have been in Tulshetpada for years and have seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children to the shop. It’s nice to be part of the community like that. We don't need fancy decorations. The items on the shelves provide enough color for us.
