Goregaon East is usually a mess of traffic, especially around Sonawala Road. We are tucked away in Gala Number 5 inside the Shivnath Yadav Compound. It’s right near where the Yadav Transport trucks are always parked. You have to navigate around the lorries to get into our unit. The road is actually called Sonawala X Road Number 2. It’s an industrial vibe, mostly noise and dust from the daily moving of goods. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at. Just a solid workspace where we get things done. The shutters go up early, and the chai wala comes around ten. It gets pretty humid in the afternoons, so we keep the fans on full blast. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know all the other guys in the compound. You can hear the sounds of the city and the machinery all day long. It's a bit tucked away, but once you find the transport office, we are right there. The building is old but it holds up. We don't really bother with big decorations or nice paint. It’s just a practical spot for Smooth Softech Solution Pvt. Ltd. to run from. Dealing with the monsoon leaks is our biggest annual project. Other than that, it’s just the usual grind in Goregaon. It’s a long walk from the station, but we have gotten used to the distance over time and the heat.
