Smd Systems is located in the Pam Gruh building, specifically in room B-205 on the second floor. We are right on Manvelpada Road in Virar East, which is a pretty hectic area if you are familiar with the Thane district. The workspace is mostly filled with various boxes, tools, and different pieces of hardware waiting to be looked at. There is usually a faint smell of solder or warm electronics in the air because something is always being tested or fixed. The building is an older one, and the stairs are a bit narrow, especially if we are trying to move heavy equipment up and down. We do not have much in the way of decorations, just a few technical calendars and some diagrams taped near the workbenches for quick reference. The windows overlook the main road, so we watch the traffic heading toward the station all day. It is not a quiet environment; there is usually the sound of a drill or a cooling fan running somewhere in the room. We keep a small electric kettle in the corner because we drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp during the long afternoons. It is a very practical, hands-on kind of place where things are often a bit messy but we know where everything is. People from around Vasai and Virar drop by with their technical issues, and we just clear a spot on the bench to help them out.
