You can find us over at Eagal Market in the Gomes Compound. We take up Shops 23, 24, and 25 along the 90 Feet Road in Sakinaka. It’s a loud, busy area, but that’s just how Sakinaka is. S.M Engineering has been part of this noise for a good while. Having three shops sounds like a lot, but they’re all connected and filled to the ceiling with machinery and scrap. It’s a real workshop. There’s grease on the door handles and the smell of welding in the air most afternoons. We do a lot of repair work and custom making of parts that people can’t find anywhere else. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and using your hands. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Most of our work comes from people just walking in because they saw our sign or heard about us from someone else in the compound. The floor is concrete and usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. We try to sweep up, but it just gets dirty again the next morning. It’s honest work, and we take it as it comes. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. We aren't trying to be fancy. We just know our way around a lathe and a welding torch. That’s enough for us and for the people who bring us their work.
