Silverrain Gifts

You can find us in the Heena Building near Madhu Park in Khar. It’s a nice enough area and quite green compared to other parts of the city. The shop is on the ground floor. We have two main rooms, or rather two sections, labeled 61 and 62. One side is more for the bigger gift items like lamps and vases, and the other side has the smaller things like wrapping paper and cards. We do a lot of gift wrapping here. Sometimes people bring in things they bought elsewhere and ask us to wrap them, which is fine. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel. The shelves are wooden and some of them lean a little bit. We try to keep things looking decent but with so much stock, it’s hard to keep it perfect. There’s a small park nearby so we get a lot of families coming in on the weekends. It feels very relaxed here. We don't use any loud music or bright flashing signs. We just have the name on the window and that’s it. Some days are very quiet and we just organize the ribbons or count the stock. It’s a good way to spend the day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. It’s a reliable little corner of Khar for anyone who needs a gift or just wants to browse without any pressure.
