Our office is located at 203 A in Adarsh Nagar, right near the busy Sambhaji Chowk in Andheri East. Sigmax Technologies Pvt Ltd isn’t one of those massive glass towers you see in the corporate parks. It’s a more grounded place where we spend our days staring at screens and dealing with cables. The room is usually filled with the sound of several computers running at once and the hum of the air conditioner that struggles a bit when the Mumbai heat really picks up. Being near the chowk means it’s never actually quiet. There is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the kettle for tea and coffee. That’s where most of our breaks happen while we talk about work or whatever else is going on. The walls are mostly plain, maybe a few calendars or old notes pinned up here and there. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting things and making sure everything is running like it should. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, really. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to wait around, which is just part of the deal in this part of town. We’ve been in this building for a while now and the watchman knows us well. It’s a practical space for the kind of work we do, nothing too showy, just a place to get the job done.
