Shweta Karnikm

I am Shweta Karnikm and I run my small operations from 67, Ghruhalaxmi in Shrikrishna Nagar. This is in Borivli East, a place I have called home for a very long time. My setup is quite simple and I don't have any big signs or bright lights to show where I am. Most people who come to see me are from the neighborhood or have been told about me by their friends. The building is an older one and it has a nice feel to it with plenty of trees around. I usually start my day quite early before the sun gets too strong. My desk is tucked into a corner of the room where the light is good. I handle all the phone calls and the paperwork myself because I like to know exactly what is going on. Sometimes I lose my pen or forget where I put a specific file, but I eventually find it. It's not a corporate environment here at all. We might sit and talk about local news for twenty minutes before we even get to the business part. I think that's why people like coming here instead of going to the big offices in the city. It feels more personal. I don't have a fancy title or a big mission. I just want to do my work well and go for my evening walk in the park nearby. It’s a quiet life in Borivli and that suits me just fine.
