Shriji Gift & Novelties

Our shop, Shriji Gift & Novelties, is tucked away on the third floor on Bapat Marg. It’s right near the Saraswat Bank, so most people use that as a landmark when they’re looking for us. Being on the third floor means we don't get much foot traffic from the street, but we keep busy enough with the people who know we're here. We’ve got all sorts of novelties and small gift items crammed into the shelves. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’ve been here at Masjid Bunder Road for some time now. The place is usually packed with stock because we try to keep a variety of things on hand for everyone. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for because there’s so much stuff, but we usually know where everything is hidden. It’s a family-run kind of thing, mostly. We handle the daily tasks ourselves, from unpacking heavy crates to talking to whoever walks in. The building is quite old, and it has that specific smell of cardboard and paper that you get in storage areas. We don't do much fancy decorating in the shop; it’s more about having the items ready and available. On busy days, the hallways get a bit crowded with boxes and bubble wrap. We just keep at it, day in and day out. If you’re around Bapat Marg, you can find us up there. It’s a simple setup we've got.
