Shree Jew

Shree Jew is located at 227 Kalbadevi Road, right near the Narnaryan Mandir. If you know that area, you know how crowded and loud it gets. There’s always someone shouting, bells ringing from the temple, and the constant sound of horns. Our shop is a small refuge from all that chaos. We’ve been here at this address for many years, watching the street change while we stay mostly the same. We deal in gold and silver, mostly small pieces and basic repairs. We don't have a big fancy showroom with a lot of glass and lights. It’s just a counter and some wooden stools for customers to sit on. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who come in after visiting the temple. It’s a neighborhood place. We do our own work right here in the shop, so you can see us with our tools most of the time. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to get the repairs done so people come back next time they need something fixed or a small gift for a relative. The shop is old, and the floorboards creak a little when you walk on them, but it has its own character. We open up in the morning when the temple starts getting busy and we stay until late evening. It’s a lot of hours, but it’s what we do. Kalbadevi is our home, and we’re just another part of the street.
