Shree Hari Kripa Novelty

Our shop, Shree Hari Kripa Novelty, is located at Shop No 1/2 in the Chembur Colony, specifically in the Si area below Jai Shankar Hall on the Pune Satara Road. It’s a fairly large space for a novelty shop since we have two units combined. Being below the hall is quite something because when there’s a wedding or a big function, you can hear the drums and the music vibrating through the ceiling. It adds a bit of excitement to the day, though it can get a little loud when we’re trying to talk to customers. The Pune Satara Road is always busy with cars and trucks, so there’s a lot of movement outside. Chembur Colony itself is a nice place to be, with a lot of people who have lived here for a long time. Our shop is full of all sorts of small items, and I try to keep the shelves organized, but there’s always something new to find a spot for. I usually sit near the front to catch whatever breeze comes in from the street, as the afternoon sun can make the shop feel quite warm. It’s a very honest, simple place. We don’t have any corporate branding or mission statements posted on the walls. We just open up in the morning, say hello to the neighbors, and sell what people are looking for. It’s a steady life here in Chembur.
