Shree Awards & Trophies

Our shop, Shree Awards & Trophies, is tucked away at Shop No. 138 in the Jer Mahal building. It’s right on the Jambulwadi Corner of Kalbadevi Road, very close to the Metro Junction. Being in South Mumbai means there is always traffic and the sound of horns outside our window. The building itself is quite old and has that classic Mumbai feel with high ceilings and narrow wooden stairs. Inside the shop, it’s a bit of a maze with trophies and shields stacked everywhere you look. Some are shiny and new, while others are waiting to be put together or engraved. We spend a lot of our time polishing surfaces and making sure the lettering looks okay. The space is small, so we have to be careful not to knock anything over when we move around. It gets very busy during the school prize season or when local sports clubs have their tournaments. We often have boxes piled up near the door. The light in here isn't the best, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We know most of the other shop owners in Jer Mahal and we often share a quick meal together when the rush dies down. It's a crowded, dusty, but honest place to work. We don't do much advertising; people just find us because we've been at this corner for such a long time.
