Shankar Novelty Kandivali W

We are located right across from the Swami Vivekanand School in Kandivali West. That means every time the school bell rings, the street outside gets flooded with kids and parents. Shankar Novelty has been here at number 12 for quite a while now. It’s a very busy part of the neighborhood. We sell a lot of small items that people need for their kids' school projects or just things for the house. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to be really careful when we are moving boxes around. We even have things hanging from hooks on the ceiling to save space. It’s the only way we can fit everything in. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic in the afternoons when ten people are all trying to look at things at once. Having the school right there keeps us very busy during the term. We have to make sure we always have enough pens, notebooks, and basic stationery in stock. The ceiling fan in the back makes a weird clicking sound when it’s on, but we’ve stopped noticing it. On rainy days, the water tends to pool up near the front step, so we keep a mop handy. We aren't doing anything special here, just running a regular neighborhood shop. Most of our customers are the same people we see every week and we know most of their faces.
