We have been working out of Unit-5 at the Mangalya Industrial premises for a while now. It is building number seven inside the Mittal Industrial Estate on A K Road. If you know Andheri East, you know how crowded and busy it gets around here. Our spot is just one of those standard industrial units where actual work gets done every day. The stairs are a bit narrow and sometimes finding a parking spot near building seven is a real nightmare, but we make it work. Most days start early with tea from the small stall downstairs before the trucks start lining up in the estate. The office isn’t anything fancy, just some desks and the usual equipment tucked into the space we have. We have neighbors doing all sorts of manufacturing and trading, so there is always a lot of noise and movement in the hallways. It is a practical place to be because everything is close by, even if the traffic on A K Road makes you want to pull your hair out by five in the evening. We do not have a big reception area or shiny signs. It is just us in here, handling the paperwork and the daily operations as they come. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we would like. It is just how things are in these older industrial estates in Mumbai. We stay busy and keep the fans running.
