Our office is in room 102 of the New Sonal Link Industrial Estate building, which is Building Number 1 on Link Road. It’s a busy area and the building itself has a lot of different businesses going on, so the hallways are always full of people moving about. Sensys Technologies is just a group of us sitting at our desks with our monitors and a lot of tangled cables. We aren't one of those tech companies with a ping-pong table or free snacks. We mostly just focus on the screens and try to get the code or the systems working right. The window in 102 looks out over a bit of the parking area and the street, so we see the traffic jams on Link Road every evening. Sometimes the internet acts up or the air conditioning makes a weird rattling noise, but we just deal with it and keep going. We have a small pantry where the kettle is always on because we drink a lot of tea and coffee to stay sharp. It’s a regular office where real work happens. We don’t have a big reception desk with a fancy logo. Usually, you just walk in and see us working. We’ve been in this building for a while now, and though it’s a bit cramped with all the servers and equipment, it feels like our own space.
