Seema Exports

Our office is number 204 in the Daryasthan building, right in the heart of Masjid Bunder West. We are situated just above the Punjab National Bank branch. It’s a very noisy area, with trucks and carts moving through the narrow streets all day long. Seema Exports has been operating from this small corner for quite some time now. When you walk in, you’ll see piles of samples and boxes waiting to be checked or sent out. It’s not organized in a way that would make a decorator happy, but we know where every single item is kept. The smell of the nearby spice market often wafts in through the windows if we leave them open. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing out details on the old computers. It’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and people wanting to know when their stuff will arrive. Sometimes it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day to handle all the paperwork that comes with exporting goods. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for confirmations or for the transport guys to show up. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how Masjid Bunder is. You learn to work with the noise and the crowds. Most of our day is just making sure the numbers match and the boxes are labeled right before they leave the building. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years.
