Sawant Motors

Sawant Motors is over at Shop No C 1 in Contractor Baug. If you are around Mahim, you probably know the area near Kj Khilani School, which is basically where we are. It is a bit of a tight spot with all the cars and people around, but we have been here for a good while. Our shop is not one of those big, clean showrooms you see in magazines. It is a real garage with oil on the floor and tools scattered on the benches. We spend our days mostly fixing engines and dealing with whatever mechanical problems people bring in. It is messy work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. There is no air conditioning or fancy lobby for waiting. People usually just drop their vehicle off and come back later. We have seen a lot of different cars come through these doors. Sometimes the parts are hard to find and it takes a bit longer than we want. That is just how the job goes sometimes. We are just local people doing what we know how to do. The neighborhood has changed over the years but the school is still there and we are still here in the same shop. It is a busy life in Mahim, but we like being part of this community. We do not do much advertising, mostly just folks telling their neighbors about us. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night.
